👉 Summary of “The Earth”.
This story has been written by ‘H.E. Bates’. He wrote many short stories.
Here the writer describes a farmer whose name is Johnson. He has only one son. His name is Benjy. His parents(माता – पिता) think that he is a simple-minded son. They are worried about his son, after a few days his father goes to a doctor with his son. The doctor advises him to keep some hens(मुर्गियाँ). Then his father gives him some hens. Bit by bit he knows all this,(धीरे-धीरे वह यह सब जानता है) After that his father opens an account in a bank. Benjy deposits his money in it. One day he purchases(खरीद) the land of Sanders. A girl works in his home. Her name is Florance. He marries her but his parents do not like her. Now Benjy hates his parents. At last, Benjy drives away his parents out of their home(बेंजी अपने माता-पिता को उनके घर से निकाल देता है). In this way, we can say that the story reveals(पता चलता है) the evils(बुराइयों) of our society.
