★ Summary of my grandmother’s house :
“My grandmother’s House” has been composed by ‘Kamala Das’. She is a great Indian English poetess.
When she was a child, she lived with her grandmother. She received a lot of love from her grandmother. She always wants to live in grandmother’s house. Her grandmother’s was very gentle (शांत). One day her grandmother died then she begins to live with her husband whenever she thinks of going to grandmother’s house, she begins to remember sweet memories. The weather is very calm (शांत). She wants to take some memories for her house where she lives with her husband. (वह अपने घर के लिए कुछ यादें ले जाना चाहती है जहां वह अपने पति के साथ रहती है) She was not satisfied with her present life. She wants real love but she can’t get it therefore she wanders to get it. (उसे पाने के लिए भटकती है)
Hence we can say that this poem reveals (पता चलता है) the condition (हालात) of a restless woman (बेचैन औरत) In this poem, the words and sentences are luci (स्पष्ट) and impressive (प्रभावशाली).
